This Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be requested and processed.

2. Service Nature

Web development services are custom, non-tangible services that require significant time, effort, and resources. Unlike physical products, digital services cannot be "returned" in the traditional sense once work has commenced. Our services are tailored specifically to each client's requirements, making them unique and non-transferable.

We believe in open communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that our work meets your expectations. We encourage clients to provide feedback at every stage of the development process to minimize the need for refund requests.

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Full Refund Eligibility

A full refund may be granted under the following circumstances:

  • Cancellation request received within 48 hours of the initial payment and before any work has commenced
  • We are unable to commence the project within 30 days of the agreed start date due to circumstances within our control
  • We fail to deliver the agreed-upon services as specified in the project scope document
  • Technical issues on our end prevent project completion and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe

3.2 Partial Refund Eligibility

Partial refunds may be considered in the following situations:

  • Project cancellation after work has begun but before completion, with refund amount based on work not yet performed
  • Significant delays caused by our team that extend beyond the agreed timeline by more than 30 days
  • Deliverables that substantially differ from the approved design mockups or project specifications
  • Mutual agreement between both parties to reduce the project scope

3.3 Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following circumstances:

  • Change of mind after the project has entered the development phase
  • Delays caused by the client's failure to provide necessary content, feedback, or approvals
  • Dissatisfaction with the final product that was approved at the design stage
  • Third-party issues beyond our control, such as hosting problems, domain registration issues, or third-party service failures
  • Project abandonment by the client without proper communication
  • Requests made more than 30 days after project delivery and acceptance

4. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Contact us via email or phone to discuss your concerns. Many issues can be resolved through communication without requiring a refund.
  • Step 2: Submit a formal refund request in writing to our email address, including your project details, invoice number, reason for the refund request, and any supporting documentation.
  • Step 3: Our team will review your request within 5 business days and assess the work completed to date.
  • Step 4: We will respond with our decision and, if applicable, the refund amount we can offer.
  • Step 5: If a refund is approved, payment will be processed within 10-14 business days using the original payment method.

5. Project Cancellation

5.1 Client-Initiated Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your project, please notify us in writing as soon as possible. The following terms apply:

  • Cancellation before project commencement: Full refund minus any administrative fees
  • Cancellation during the planning/discovery phase: Refund of 75% of the total project cost
  • Cancellation during the design phase: Refund of 50% of the total project cost
  • Cancellation during the development phase: Refund of 25% of the total project cost
  • Cancellation after development is complete: No refund available

5.2 Company-Initiated Cancellation

We reserve the right to cancel a project under certain circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Client's failure to provide necessary materials or feedback within 30 days of request
  • Discovery that the project involves illegal, unethical, or inappropriate content
  • Breach of our Terms of Service by the client
  • Non-payment of agreed-upon milestones

In cases where we initiate the cancellation and the client is not at fault, a full or partial refund will be provided based on the work completed.

6. Revision Policy

Before requesting a refund due to dissatisfaction with the work, we encourage clients to utilize their included revision rounds:

  • All packages include a specified number of revision rounds as outlined in the service agreement
  • Revisions must be requested within 14 days of receiving the deliverable
  • Revisions are limited to changes within the original project scope
  • Additional revisions beyond the included rounds may be purchased at an hourly rate

We are committed to working with you until you are satisfied with the final product, within the bounds of the original project scope.

7. Maintenance and Support Services

For ongoing maintenance and support services purchased on a subscription or retainer basis:

  • Monthly services may be cancelled with 30 days written notice
  • Annual plans cancelled mid-term are eligible for a prorated refund of unused months, minus a 15% early termination fee
  • Refunds for maintenance services are calculated based on the start date of the billing period
  • Support hours already used are non-refundable

8. Hosting and Domain Services

If we provide hosting or domain registration services as part of your package:

  • Domain registration fees are non-refundable as domains are registered with third-party registrars
  • Hosting fees for the current billing period are non-refundable
  • Future hosting periods may be cancelled and refunded if requested before the billing date
  • Upon cancellation, we will assist with transferring your domain and files to another provider

9. Dispute Resolution

If you are not satisfied with our response to your refund request, we encourage the following dispute resolution process:

  • Request a meeting with our project manager to discuss your concerns in detail
  • If unresolved, escalate to our senior management for review
  • We may agree to mediation by a mutually acceptable third party
  • All disputes shall be governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Return Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services following the posting of revised policies means that you accept and agree to the changes. We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes.

For projects already under contract, the Return Policy in effect at the time of signing will apply unless both parties agree to adopt the updated policy.
